‘The best’ backed by powers that be Vs
The mere men trying to find their feet
For three years in a row, Barca have dominated footballing, both home & away, putting conditions in place for a great domination of world football, bringing them to a height where decline was well within the realm of impossibility. Though acclaimed the best team in the world, we deny not the fact that ‘powers that be’ stand verily behind them like rocks of gibraltar.
And for a team so good, it was considered great injustice to still have such powers influencing their football matches (as widely assumed) day after day. This is what the teeming millions thought.
None had ever outplayed their ‘tiki-takaka’ kind of play, except for some little teams whom they overtly underrate by getting complacent, and end up paying the price before realizing their mistakes. But not big teams like Manchester united, Ac Milan etc, and their wife Real Madrid.
For the special one & his gang, it has been a horror movie up until they won their last ‘El Classico’, one win among many loses in the past. But this was solely made to come forth by the strategies of the Italian Mafia, Ac Milan who almost outsmarted the Barca boys in their last Champions league clash by playing an all out ‘defending-patience-long ball-defending’ game, & over & over again, if not for the help of the powers that be.
Everyone prayed after that match that the ‘special one’ will greatly imbibe that strategy & by heavens pray & hope the rest of the way & it worked for them.
They won.
Then it was the turn of a team that have been viewed as less a factor in the Champions league matters even though they went ahead to qualify for the last 16 over their English colleagues & have been on point ever since.
Thus, For Di Matteo’s men, meeting the so called ‘gods of football’ (Barca), it was a do or die, they had to prove the world wrong.
Though many scoffed at the possibility of Chelsea out smarting Barca, but it did happen for they took that method used by Ac Milan & Madrid and modified it while claiming a home & away win against the defending champions of the EPL with a very surrealistic match stat of;
[Shots on goal : 4, Goals scored : 3]
As against Barca’s
[Over 50 Shots on goal, Goals scored 2] with one man down.
Thus far, they are taking on new and unexpected roles in the unfolding drama that is reshaping our football & putting an end to the belief that ‘Barca is infallible’ & also to their monopoly of wins & trophies. Now the trophy must go round.
But regardless, their success wasn’t without help, oh yes, the Bridge boys had help, not from some juju or voodoo something, but the help of the teeming millions
Who cried out due to Barca’s injustice & believed they have to be stopped, to our God Almighty whom up until that very day I didn’t was a football fan, for in truth life is all about ‘you eat, I eat’ & not ‘you eat & eat & keep eating’.
That help is what I called the ‘Isaiah effect’, all other team fans went against Bar ca, they all rooted for the blue boys to peter out Barca, with a strong mind, a mind of one, with hope, prayer that the ‘bagas’ be brought down & it worked.
Recent studies into this ‘Isaiah effect’ & the effect of prayer offer new credibility to ancient propositions suggesting that we may “do something” about the horrors of our world today , both present and future. These studies add to a growing body of evidence suggesting that focused prayers, especially those offered on a large scale, have a predictable and measurable effect on the quality of life during the time of the prayer.
So take a lead from this win from Chelsea FC over FC Barcelona, study, hope, pray, learn, endure, & be patient. Strike hard & true when given your slimmest chance. Never give up even when all seems lost, you never know, your ‘Ramirez’ may just be around the corner.
