Shock … Ron and Ann Hayward were billed for hundreds of adult films

A PENSIONER couple have been left stunned after receiving a bill totalling over £500 (120,500 Naira) – for watching an average of TWELVE hours of porn a day.

And it is the SECOND time that the Christian couple — who have been married for over 50 years — have been accused of watching the X-rated flicks.

Ann, 71, and Ron Hayward, 74, said that they are “disgusted” by the Virgin Media’s extortionate usage charges for what they label an “Additional Feature (18)”.

On one day the Porn-Again Christians were billed for watching over 14 adult movies and their latest bill racks up over 150 pay-per-view films costing £5.99 each.

The churchgoing grandparents of 11 and great-grandparents of four were also sent a bill back in 2009 for over £700.

Yesterday baffled Ann, a retired nursery nurse, said: “I think that kind of thing is disgusting, I am 71 and they said to me, ‘Where were you at 2am?’

“I said, ‘Well I wasn’t out clubbing it was I? And I was hardly sat in my front room watching porn.’

“I have been married since I was 18 – we have no interest in that kind of thing I can assure you.”

She added: “Going off what the bill said we have been watching porn for about 12 hours a day for quite a while now.

“My favourite shows are the Antiques Road Show and Countryfile, I have never seen porn and I don’t know how to work the pay-to-view function.

“We just don’t know about that type of thing and it’s annoying and pathetic that they would accuse us.

“The thing is that I have no way to prove it’s not us. They say they will waive the bill but at the end of it all I just want to stop these bills coming through my door.”

Ann, from Reddish, Greater Manchester, last night also appealed to Sir Richard Branson to put an end to their humiliation after their April to June bill totalled £563.82 – rather than the usual £75.

She said: “I want him to sort it out, no one else is making any sense in the company and it is just getting ridiculous.

“People in the post office are joking with Ron saying things like, “Seen any good films lately Ron?’”

A spokesman for Virgin Media said: “Adult content can only be viewed after an individual PIN number is given by the household, ensuring people can safely watch what they choose.

“We’ve made sure Mr and Mrs Hayward’s service is PIN-protected and their TV set-top box will no longer view age-restricted content.”
